6.) Saturday’s day of science which kicked off with Dr. Cooper’s Genetics 101 and included research updates, celebrating our researchers at lunch, and the poster session.
5.) Former NFL player and current ESPN analyst Merril Hodge inspiring us all in his keynote address Friday Morning. “This group inspired me to find a way because you are the epitome of finding a way” – Merril Hodge
4.) The entertaining and packed Trivia Night
3.) Remembering loved ones we have lost and celebrating their legacy
2.) Music therapist Rebecca Atkinson showing us all the power music both in her research update and her music therapy sessions in affected care
1.) Seeing so many families and loved ones enjoying each other’s company. Over ¾ of attendees were Batten families, and that’s the way it should be! It is our goal to build a conference that celebrates the incredible strength of Batten families while providing valuable sessions and research updates.
