Memorial Committee
BDSRA Board of Directors authorized the Memorial in 2002 and appointed a committee to oversee its creation. Committee members are Web Ireland, Charles Leffler, Vikki Schwartz, Karen Watson and Bob Wilhelm.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Design
A student team from the North Carolina State University - College of Design developed the memorial design concepts. Team Members were: John Carr, Rob Connolly, Rebecca Pezdek and Dawn Neuendorffer. The Memorial Committee would like to extend a special thanks to the design team, Professor Bryan Laffitte and especially John Carr for his work in building the prototype that was displayed at the 2003 BDSRA conference.

Artwork
The stained glass artwork was designed and created by Barry O'Brien of Claxton, Tennessee. He was born in Chicago, retired from the U.S. Postal Service and has been working with stained glass for 23 years. Barry created the sun catchers for the memorial service at the 1999 Tennessee BDSRA conference.

Fabrication
Design Dimension, Inc. of Raleigh, North Carolina, fabricated the Memorial of fine mahogany. A special acknowledgement is also extended to the Design Dimension staff for their advice and assistance to make the Memorial a reality and especially to Mike Cindric for never giving up on the engraved panels of sandblasted plexiglass.

Transportation
Able Cargo Transit, Inc. of Sorrento, Florida has provided assistance in shipping the Memorial. A special thanks to Rick Lowther and Jim Pressley for their assistance in building the shipping containers and packing.
